By Milan de Reede · CEO & Co-Founder

Quick answer

At a glance

NanoGPT accepts 29 crypto payment options, including Monero, Bitcoin, Nano, USDC, and USDT, plus card payments through Stripe with Apple Pay and Google Pay. Crypto is the most private way to pay, needs no ID or account, and gets a 3% bonus. You can start from $0.10 in crypto or $1 by card, and your balance is held in US dollars.

The full answer

You can add balance to NanoGPT in two ways: with cryptocurrency, or with a card through Stripe. Both work for the website and the API, and there are no percentage fees on deposits.

You do not need a subscription. You top up once and pay only for what you use, at each model's list price.

Do I get a bonus for paying with crypto?

Yes. Every crypto deposit gets a 3% bonus, whichever coin or network you use. For example, a $100 deposit in USDT adds $103 to your balance.

Crypto costs us less to accept than cards, with no chargebacks and lower processing fees, so we pass part of that saving back to you.

Which payment method is the most private?

Crypto is the most private way to pay for NanoGPT. We do not require KYC, an ID, or even an account or email, so a crypto deposit does not have to be linked to your name.

For the most privacy, use a privacy coin. Monero (XMR) is the most used payment method on NanoGPT, and Zano, Litecoin MWEB, and shielded Zcash transactions also hide payment details on-chain.

Card payments are less private. Stripe processes your card details and may run its own checks, and exchanges where you buy crypto can require KYC too. For more ways to protect your privacy, see our privacy guide and Does NanoGPT require KYC?

Can I pay with a card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay?

Yes. Card payments are processed by Stripe, and the Stripe checkout supports Apple Pay and Google Pay. You can pay in US dollars, euros, or British pounds.

Stripe is our only non-crypto payment option. We do not accept PayPal or bank transfers. PayPal USD (PYUSD) is supported, but as a stablecoin, not through a PayPal account.

What is the minimum deposit?

The minimum is $0.10 for every cryptocurrency and $1 for card payments.

We do not add a percentage fee to deposits. Your wallet or exchange may still charge its own network or withdrawal fee when you send crypto.

How long do crypto deposits take to confirm?

It depends on the network. Your balance is credited automatically once the network confirms the payment.

  • Nano and Bitcoin Lightning usually settle within seconds.
  • Fast networks such as Solana, Base, Arbitrum One, Polygon, and Tron usually confirm quickly.
  • On-chain Bitcoin is the slowest, since it waits for block confirmations and a new block arrives roughly every 10 minutes.

If a deposit has not appeared after the network confirms it, contact support with the transaction ID.

What currency is my NanoGPT balance in?

Your balance is held in US dollars. Crypto deposits are converted to their USD value when they are credited, and stablecoins such as USDC credit at close to $1 per coin.

Because your balance is in dollars, crypto price swings after your deposit do not change how much you can spend. Model prices on our pricing page are also shown in USD.

Can I get a refund on a crypto deposit?

Yes. Crypto deposits follow the same refund policy as card payments, and we generally approve requests made in good faith.

A crypto payment cannot be reversed by your wallet or a bank, so refunds go through our support team. Email support@nano-gpt.com with:

  • Your support token from Settings
  • Your account email, if you have one
  • The deposit's transaction ID
  • The reason for your request

We may decline a refund when most of the deposit has already been used, or when there are signs of fraud or abuse.
