July 2026 Crypto Payment Statistics: Bitcoin and Stablecoins Gain

July shifted deposit volume toward on-chain Bitcoin and stablecoins. Monero remained the largest single payment method, while Nano and Lightning both lost share.

Monero Remains First
Monero accounted for 36.42% of July's crypto deposit volume, down 4.31 percentage points from June's 40.73%.
On-Chain Bitcoin Jumps While Lightning Falls
On-chain Bitcoin rose from 14.05% in June to 20.44% in July. Lightning moved the other way, falling from 5.96% to 2.29%.
Combined, BTC + Lightning reached 22.73%, up from 20.01% in June. The Bitcoin total grew even though its mix moved heavily toward on-chain deposits.
Stablecoins Reach 18.22%
USDT rose from 6.26% to 11.15%, while USDC increased from 5.52% to 7.07%.
Together, USDT + USDC represented 18.22% of July's crypto deposit volume, up 6.44 percentage points from June.
Nano Falls as ETH and BCH Gain
Nano fell from 9.51% in June to 5.48% in July.
Ethereum rose from 3.17% to 5.02%, and Bitcoin Cash climbed from 2.87% to 4.45%. Litecoin and Solana were close together at 1.76% and 1.74%.

Fiat deposits and deposits through partner-branded integrations are excluded. Nano deposits are converted to USD using the price recorded for the deposit or the daily fallback exchange rate.
